Terms of Service
Last updated:1. Acceptance of terms
By adding OHBump ("the Bot", "we", "us") to a Discord server, or by using any of its commands, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're adding the Bot on behalf of a server, you're confirming you have the authority to do so (typically as the server owner or an administrator), and these terms apply to that server as well as to you individually.
2. The service
OHBump is a Discord bot that helps servers advertise themselves to a shared network of other servers. Core functionality includes:
- Generating an invite link and a server "card" (description, tags, color, banner) each time
/bumpis run, and distributing that card to other servers' configured bump channels. - A partner exchange system for requesting and accepting dedicated ad placements between servers.
- Optional AutoBump, which re-bumps automatically once a cooldown clears.
- A badge system recognizing server activity and status.
- Member ratings, reminders, and moderation tools including blacklisting and appeals.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, including the specific cooldowns, limits, and perks described on this site — the in-Bot /help and /config view commands always reflect current behavior.
3. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's own minimum age and eligibility requirements to use Discord at all, and by extension to use OHBump. Servers using the Bot must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.
4. Your responsibilities
If you configure OHBump for a server (description, tags, banner, channels, etc.), you're responsible for the accuracy of that content and for keeping the server itself compliant with Discord's rules. Specifically:
- Descriptions and tags must accurately represent your server — no bait-and-switch listings.
- You're responsible for moderating the invite links and cards OHBump distributes into your own bump channel.
- You must have the necessary Discord permissions (e.g. Manage Server) to configure the Bot for a given server.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use OHBump to:
- Advertise servers that violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, including servers dedicated to illegal content, hate speech, or harassment.
- Attempt to manipulate bump counts, ratings, badges, or the partner system through automation, alternate accounts, or coordinated abuse.
- Circumvent a blacklist, ban, or cooldown by creating replacement servers or accounts for that purpose.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Bot's operation, including attempts to exploit, reverse engineer, or overload it beyond normal use.
- Use the Bot's distribution network to send unsolicited content unrelated to genuine server discovery.
6. Server tiers
OHBump offers Free, Sponsor, and Premium tiers with different cooldowns, tag limits, and bump bonuses. Sponsor and Premium status is granted at OHBump's discretion — [fill in: describe here if these are purchased, gifted, awarded for support, or otherwise obtained, including any refund policy]. Tier status can be revoked for violations of these Terms.
7. Moderation & appeals
We may blacklist a server from the network — removing it from distribution and blocking most commands — for violations of these Terms or Discord's own rules. Blacklisted servers can submit an appeal using /appeal. Decisions on appeals are made at our discretion, but every blacklist action includes a stated reason and an appeal path.
8. Invite links
Invite links created by /bump expire after 24 hours and are generated using your own server's invite permissions. OHBump does not control who uses these links or what happens after someone joins via them — that remains between your server and its members, same as any other Discord invite.
9. Third-party services
OHBump runs on Discord's platform and relies on third-party infrastructure (hosting and database providers) to operate. Your use of Discord itself is governed by Discord's own terms, independent of this policy. The Bot may also reference or link to external sites such as bot-listing services — we aren't responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.
10. Intellectual property
The OHBump name, branding, and bot software are owned by us. Server owners retain all rights to their own server content (descriptions, banners, names) submitted through the Bot, and grant us a limited license to display that content to other servers as part of the Bot's core distribution function.
11. Disclaimers
OHBump is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular growth or outcome for your server.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, OHBump — including loss of members, data, or goodwill.
13. Termination
You may stop using OHBump at any time by removing it from your server. We may suspend or terminate access to the Bot, for a specific server or generally, for violations of these Terms, at our discretion.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of OHBump after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
15. Governing law
